B.D. Atkins & Son was established in 1980 by Mr. and Mrs. B. Atkins.
After many years working for Gascoigne Melotte as a parlour fitter, service engineer and sales representative, Bev Atkins decided to establish his own business. His aim was simple: to provide dairy farmers with honest advice, quality workmanship and dependable service.
Over 40 years later, those same values continue to define the company. We are proud to have built long-standing relationships with customers across Powys, Shropshire and the surrounding areas, supporting generations of dairy farming families.
A Family Business
Experience passed from one generation to the next.
Today the business is run by Ralph Atkins, who has over 40 years' experience within the dairy industry, alongside his wife Julie. Julie provides technical support and also works as a technical installation engineer, making them a hands-on team that understands the day-to-day needs of dairy farmers.
As a small, dedicated business, we believe our personal approach is one of our greatest strengths. Customers deal directly with experienced people who know the industry and genuinely care about delivering the right solution.
